Stolen or Lost Passports
Theft or loss of passport must be reported to the local police. You must file the police report before coming to the Embassy to apply for a new passport.
At the Embassy, you must present a copy of the police report and a valid Norwegian identification, e.g. a Norwegian driver’s licence or a debit card issued by a Norwegian bank (Visakort med bilde og signatur).
The 'Notification of loss of passport' form must be completed at the Embassy.
Please note that if your passport has ever been reported lost or stolen, it is no longer a valid travel document. If you find a passport that has been reported lost, you must hand it in to the Embassy or the police in Norway.
