New record in Singapore: “Largest contingent of People Carrying Flags of Different Countries”

24/09/2009 // On September 12th a Norwegian flag in Singapore was part of setting the record of the Largest contingent of People Carrying Flags of Different Countries. 153 people and 100 national flags worldwide participated in setting the record, which will be listed in the Singapore Book of Records 2009.

The event was put together with a group of students from New Town Secondary School, student leaders from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Business & Accountancy, members from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic LEO Club and the Student Care Service at the Clementi Centre.

The student centre expressed gratitude for borrowing the flag, which they expressed as serving as an important purpose in their work with the students. The project is said to have been giving them opportunities to learn important life-skills, gain a sense of responsibility, and to strive for achievement.
