Digital facsimiles have been made of 19,600 manuscript pages (manuscripts for plays, poems, other writings and letters) from Ibsen's hand. These have been made available on the Internet by the Centre for Ibsen Studies and the Documentation Project at the University of Oslo.
The digitalising was done under the auspices of the Manuscript Project at the Centre for Ibsen Studies in 1998-2000. The intention was among other things to make this material available to researchers, students, stage directors, actors and the public at large. The facsimile material is available both in high resolution and in compressed form.
