30/11/2006 :: In 2006 the new National Labour and Welfare Organization (NAV) was etstablished in Norway after a comprehensive reform.
The new NAV organization is a merger of the three former organizations: The National Insurance Organization (state), The National Employement Service (state) and The National Welfare System (municipal).
The objectives of the reform were: More people at work and in activity, fewer at benefits, user friendly, user oriented system, a coordinated and efficient employment and welfare system.
